I am New Here at Erskine

Welcome to Erskine Church

Thanks so much for checking out our website. If we could describe ourselves in one word, it would be ‘community.’ Erskine Church is a family of faith who lives in and serves our Hamilton community. We love our neighbourhood and want to make a difference by seeing people thrive and grow. Our vision is to see:

“A healthy, loving family for each and every neighbour”

We believe that faith has an incredibly important role to play in our lives. We express this each Sunday during church and throughout our week.

We would love the chance to get to know you more and share a coffee on Sunday morning. If you have questions about our church, check out the FAQ section below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What time does the Sunday service start?
A: Our service starts at 10:30 am and usually lasts for an hour.

Q: What should I wear on Sunday?
A: Come as you are. We are not fancy people at Erskine. We care about what is on the inside, not the outside. You will find people in a range of attire, from suits to jeans, dresses to shorts in the summer. Come in what makes you comfortable.

Q: What is the Sunday service like?
A: Erskine is a multi-generational church. That means you will see children, teens, parents and grandparents Sunday. Our children eagerly participate in our service as they watch along with the congregation the Big God Story each Sunday (a brief animated video that explains the Bible reading). Our worship at Erskine is led by our amazing, modern worship team. To listen to a sample of our worship music, click here.

Q: Where do my children go during Sunday service?
A: After their involvement with the Big God Story, children are allowed to go with our wonderful Sunday School teachers to an aged-based class. Children are down the hall from the sanctuary and are always supervised. Additionally, Erskine has a staffed nursery for children 0-3 years old.

Our Worship

At its heart Erskine is filled with worship. We have a wonderful praise team that leads us every Sunday in contemporary music. For a sample, please click here.

Children & Erskine

Erskine is alive with the sounds of children! We believe that Christian Education is an intergenerational endeavour which should be experienced as a Church Family. Our “Family Story Time” features a new member of our congregation—God Bot! Family Story time begins with a song, includes a game, and concludes when we watch a video together as a family.  The videos lead us through the Big God Story every year – from Genesis to Revelation. The family story time ends with the children going into Sunday School and the adults hearing the Message.
